Keithen Carter is a versatile singer and Lyricist from the USA, he studied Art at Chicago Art Institute, where he developed a talent for writing songs and performing. He then went on to become a recognised Artist and has also proven himself as a theatre actor on the Chicago stage in a variety of roles.
In the real-deal, pre-technology days of Chicago R&B, Keithen was busy working in the studio on a daily basis co-writing with an array of legendary acts, the likes of Everlyn Champagne King, Stanley Clarke, Hiroshima, Stephanie Mills, Shaun Christopher, Peabo Bryson, Linda Clifford, Philip Bailey, Ramsey Lewis, Chaka Khan and Thelma Houston. Keithen went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Song collaborating with Philip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire. Keithen has also worked with Ibiza Kings Max Linen on the dance front, with Two No.1 Ibiza Records.
Keithen's collaborations with Jon Smith have been featured on compilations around the world, with top DJ's such as Pete tong, Erik Morillo and Judge Jules Roger Sanchez, Seb Fontaine, Robbie Rivera, David Morales, Tall Paul, Boy George, Paul Van Dyk, and Danny Tenaglia championing their work.
Keithen was a long term writing partner with Pat Leonard, who co-wrote most of the tracks with Madonna on her True Blue Album, Keithen also featured on Backing Vocals. Keithen has performed on hundreds of National TV Commercials including lead vocal performances for Michelob, McDonalds, Coors, Budweiser, Jolly Green Giant, he also arranged and performed the famous Mazda advert 'Zoom, Zoom, Zoom'
